We discuss the development of electrode surfaces modified with nanostructures for electrochemical detection contaminants environmental concern (CECs) in environment. The CECs are found substances we all use our daily lives such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, flame retardants, personal care products, and so on. These pose a threat to human wellbeing, hence need effective methods fast sensitive these ecosystems. describe different techniques researchers have used past pollutants matrices. survey nanomaterials modify electrodes nanoparticles, nanowires, graphene, nanotubes others by detect pollutants. sensitivity each approach is covered numerous examples nanomaterial-modified typically offer superior performance over more standard electrodes. review properties modifiers that make them good job looked at directions can pursue further improve selectivity
